Day Off

Today I took the day off from work. It was my last day of vacation of 2008. I really need this day as I have been fight my Crohn's disease for the last five days. Then yesterday afternoon my back and neck started to ache as if I was coming down with something. I'm pretty tough, but really why do I need to fight both Crohn's and the flu at the same time? The two hour nap this morning was well needed. I felt better after my nap so I decided to do some scrapbooking. Then late this afternoon my Crohn's started acting up again. Here are the pages that I completed today.

Making Christmas Dinner

While I was making Christmas dinner Jackson thought he would help me get stuff from the fridge. I turned my back for a whole 2 seconds. Jackson is really moving around and he has started to walk along the furniture.

Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas yesterday. We got up at 0700 and Santa made it even though we have 3 feet of snow. Jackson had fun opening gifts and playing with his new toys. Not to brag but I made a wonderful Christmas dinner. We had Pork Chops with apple sauce, brussels spouts, stuffing, and sweet potato casserole. This was a wonderful first Christmas as a family of three.

Santa

Last night Mark and I took Jackson to see Santa at Kimberly-Clark's Holiday Party. It was really nice. They had a local Children's Performer singing Christmas songs, face painting, balloon artist, and Santa. I wasn't sure how Jackson would react to Santa, but it didn't phase him at all. These pictures of Jackson just make Mark and I smile. Its amazing how curious he is. You ask Jackson how he got in there and he just smiles and laughs! A baby's laugh is one of the best sounds in the world. I hope you smile when you see these pictures.
