New Scrapbook Pages

Finally found time to scrapbook. I have 3 more pages I want to do then I am caught up. I'm pretty happy how these pages turned out. Here are a few pictures of the pages. The first photo that says Happy Birthday to me, is a book that the hospital put together that has all the important dates and times of when Jackson received his first shots, bath, and hearing test. We really liked that the hospital did that for us. The other pages are Jackson's first bath at home and then I did a page of Mark and a page of me. These are all going into Jackson's baby book. Hope you enjoy!

Salsa Dancing, Go-Go Juice, Fussy Baby, and Pics of Jackson

We went to Mommy and Me yesterday and learned to Salsa dance. I think I will be on next season of Dancing with the Stars. (HA HA). Jackson slept through the whole lesson, but mommy's legs and tummy are sore today. Last night we taught Mark to Salsa dance and now he and Jackson can dance together. It was a lot of fun!

Go-Go Juice is what we call Jackson's milk. Lets just say little man loves his go-go juice as he now weighs 10 lbs. 3.7 oz. He isn't missing and meals. :)

Jackson has a fussy time of 630-830 every night :( We are learning to do things he loves during that time frame. We do tummy time, go for a walk, bath time and we vacuum and he helps with laundry. Not sure if he likes his chores, but it helps mommy and daddy because he gets quiet! If those do not work then mommy and daddy swaddle him and bounces and shhhes him. That normally works.

And of course new pictures of Jackson!

I could only find one baby picture of me. I think I may be about 6 months in this photo. Susie scanned these two pictures of Mark for me. One is his hospital picture and the other one he is 17 months. Let us know what who you think Jackson looks like.

2 Week Check Up

Today Jackson had his 2 week check up. He now weighs 9lbs. 7.5oz and is 21 inches long. The doctor is very happy with his weight gain and so is mommy and daddy. Jackson was a very good boy at the doctor's office. He barely woke up to see the doctor.

I need some advice...

The doctor asked us if Jackson was sleeping in our room. Mark and I decide it was best for Jackson to sleep in his own room. We have not once brought him into our room to sleep. The doctor then tells us that we should consider having Jackson sleep in our room as it helps reduce the chances of SIDS. The doctor says that when a baby is in the parents room the baby doesn't go into the deep, deep sleep b/c they senses the parents present. Now I am all confused on what to do. I'm scared to death of SIDS, but Jackson is doing a great job sleeping in his own room. Here's another issue -- If Jackson sleeps in our room then Mark would be woke up every time Jackson needs to eat and right now it works perfectly that I get up and nurse Jackson and Mark continues to sleep as he is working full time. Any advice on what to do would be appreciated.

Today Jackson and I also attended Mommy and Me at the hospital. It's a gathering for new moms to share their happy, sad, frustrated and need advice time. We like going b/c we get to interact with other new moms and receive great advice on how to handle things. Every week there is a topic and sometimes there are guess speakers. Next week Jackson and I will be learning how to Salsa mom's baby weight away :). I'll let you know what happens.

Last but not least a few new pictures of Jackson. The grandparents love to see pictures of Jackson. Here you go!

Look what the UPS man brought

Friday afternoon the UPS man brought two presents! Of course I had to open them ASAP. One present was from our cousins who sent the adorable outfit and the other present was from Regina and Nick Black, good friends from Knoxville. Here is a picture of the presents. Thanks Leanne and Boys! Thanks Regina and Nick!

I had a visitor this weekend!

Friday night Uncle Greg came to see me. Greg brought Jackson two toys; the General Lee and his first remote car. Jackson won't be able to play with these toys for another 2 years, but that's ok. I have put them up so Mark doesn't play with and break them. LOL Here are a few pictures of Greg and Jackson. FYI...Jackson's middle name is after his Uncle Greg :)

New pictures of Jackson!

Yep I'm a typical new mom that has to send pictures of my kid to everyone. He is so stinking cute how can you not enjoy the pictures? Ok I'm bias, but who cares!

Bath Time

Jackson received his first bath on Monday 4-7-2008. Jackson was not a happy camper, but mommy was, because he smelled so clean :) Here is a picture of of his first bath.

Tummy Time

Mark has started his first ritual with Jackson -- Tummy Time. Every night when Mark comes home from work he and Jackson enjoy a little tummy time. Jackson seems to like tummy time. We are only doing it for 5 to 10 minutes right now. I just love watching them be together. Of course the cats are involved in tummy time. Here are a few pictures of tummy time.

Today is my due date, but no baby!

I can't explain how disappointed I am that Baby Lawson hasn't arrived. I understand that today is his due date, but I know he isn't going arrive as NOTHING is going on. I feel NOTHING! I feel like I felt in January, but a whole heck of lot bigger!!! I think doctor's should stop giving due dates, but due weeks!!!! I think that would be a lot better to deal with than an actual due date.

I decided to take today off as I didn't feel like going to work. I have no patience for KC and what they believe is/could be a crisis! I have my own crisis going on in my head and I need a day to myself. My crisis is I really want Baby Lawson to be born in March. I do not know why, but I do. I don't want to be induce to make that happen, but I'm tired of him kicking and sitting on my gallbladder. It hurts so bad when he touches it that I get tears in my eyes. I want him to come on his own, but the thought of being pregnant any longer makes me want to cry.
Up until this pass week, life being pregnant has be wonderful. I would do all of this again minus the gallbladder issue.

Well when Baby Lawson arrives Mark and I will let everyone know.
Talk soon!

Dr. Appt. Update 3/25

We went for our 39 week appointment and I'm still the same, 1CM and 50% effaced. Pretty much nothing going on. I'm sad, b/c I thought for sure something would have changed. Oh well he will arrive when he is ready.

We had to be put on the monitor this morning as I didn't feel him move all morning. Baby Lawson is fine. He must have been just relaxing this morning. The monitor showed I was have real contractions, but I didn't feel anything.

Our next appointment is 4/1/2008 if Baby Lawson doesn't arrive by then. I going to say because I do not want him born on April Fool's Day, he will decide that is when he is ready to arrive. I don't like April Fool's Day, I sure hope he comes before or just waits until 4/2.

Scrapbook Pictures

Here are the pictures of the pages that I put together for Baby Lawson. I made a visitor page to record all the visitors that will come and see him at the hospital or the house. I also put together a page to have his thumb and foot prints put on. Then I did his nursery, my 32 & 35 week pregnancy pictures, and his 4th Ultrasound pictures.

Update from Doctor Appointment 3/18

We went to our 38 week appointment yesterday. I'm about the same still, but according to the ultrasound we had, Baby Lawson is 8 LBS, but the ultrasound is +/- at least 1 LB. We'll see when Baby Lawson arrives. Remember its a full moon Friday 3/21, so who knows. I'm very tired and my back is killing me. Mark is such a trooper he has been doing a lot of stuff around the house as I come home from work and go straight to bed.

This past weekend I did get more of Baby Lawson's Scrapbook done. I'll take pictures and post them for you to see.

That's about all that's going on.

Talk soon!

Today is My 31st Birthday!

Today is my 31st birthday. My sweet husband and the cats bought me a gift card to Kohl's to get post pregnancy clothes and a gift card to the local scrapbooking store! I'm very excited! I can't wait to go and spend them :) My dad and Nancy are on their way up to spend time with me on my birthday. We are going to Victoria's Italian restaurant. It's a local restaurant in Appleton and the food is so yummy!

Also my cousin had her baby today - Michael Patrick Heern. How cool is that! Welcome to the family Michael!!!

Baby Lawson's Nursery

We took pictures of Baby Lawson's Nursery! We wanted to share them with everyone. We just love the way the room turned out. The pictures on the wall of the animals were drawn by one of the girls I work with. She drew and hand painted them for Mark and I. We just love them!!!! We feel it makes the nursery more homey than all the store bought decro. Also on the shelves are Mark's stuff puppies that he had when he was a little boy. One of the puppies "Peaches" has been around since Mark was born. And Baby Lawson has his Michael Jordan shoes on a shelf also. His Uncle Greg bought them for him and is hoping he love basketball as much as Greg does.

Busy Saturday

Today I cleaned my house from head to toe. I cleaned the bathrooms and wiped the light fixtures down, I dusted everything and anything that I could, Mark vacuum the house and wiped the fridge and dishwasher down and we mopped. I then went and got a manicure and pedicure and I my hair cut. We were going to go to the movies tonight but I fell asleep on the couch. I guess you can say I'm doing the nesting thing, but I don't think so, as I always clean my house on the weekend.

Oh and McDonald's now has Shamrock Shakes!!! I love Shamrock shakes anyways, but being pregnant I think they really rock! Tonight Mark had to go and get me a Shamrock Shake. In case you are not sure what a Shamrock shake is, it is a limited time only mint shake at McDonald's and they are very yummy! I know my in-laws do not know what they are b/c Mark had no clue about them and I tried to order a Shamrock Shake when I lived in Knoxville and the McDonald employee looked at me as if I was from another planet. By the way Mark thinks Shamrocks Shakes rock also.

Besides that nothing else going on excepting waiting for baby Lawson to arrive.

36 weeks Doctor Appointment

Yesterday Mark and I went to our 36 week doctor appointment. Everything is going the way it should. My cervix is soft, but I'm not dilated. Doctor said everything is right on target and that things can start progressing. We are so excited. The doctor is predicting that he will be about 7 lbs. I think he will be closer to 8 lbs. Do not ask me why, but I just think that. People at work think I will deliver around St. Patty's Day. I think I will deliver on 3/28 and Mark's parents informed us that March 21st is a full moon. The only person who knows for sure when he will arrive is Baby Lawson himself :).

We can't wait for little Lawson to arrive. We have the nursery done, the bag is packed, the care seat is in the car. We have notes written out to make sure we put food out for the cats and a note to my friend Katie who will be cat sitting. We are ready and waiting.

By the way we still do not have a name picked. We have the first name picked and we are not telling anyone. Its the middle name that Mark and I can decide. He doesn't like my suggestion, but he doesn't have a suggestion at all. Baby Lawson may only have a first and last name. Hope we do not upset the grandparents.

That's about all that's going on with us.

Snow Storm on 2/18

Mark wanted me to share pictures of the snow storm we had back on 2/18. We have received ove 60 inches of snow this year. The weather man says we have broken January and February monthly snow fall records. And they say March is the snowest month!!! Mark loves it! He loves the snow. I could care less about the snow, but that's probably because I grew up in NW Indiana.

35 Weeks Pregnant and BIG!!!!!

I thought I would share my big belly pictures! I can't believe how huge I look! I didn't think I was that big! But I guess I am. Baby Lawson still does not have a name, he is still kicking me ever second he gets, and I'm so tired now that at about 230 in afternoon I seriously want to just pack up my stuff up at work and say "See ya tomorrow" I seriously forget why I'm talking to my co-workers that I just walk way. But one positive thing is I'm sleeping all night long! I hope you enjoy these pictures!

Look What the Mailman Brought Us!!!

Tuesday when we got home from birthing class there on our door step was a box. I love getting stuff in the mail. Mark brought it in and I opened it immediately. We knew we were getting somthing from Susie and Lee. She did tell us it was a book. I was thinking it was a book about pregnancy or breastfeeding. I was wrong!! Baby Lawson got some books. Here's a picture of the lovely books. Thanks Susie, Lee and the kids :) I know Baby Lawson will enjoy them! We love and miss you guys :)

Doctor's Appointment Update

We went to the doctor's on Feb. 5th. Ok we went to two doctor's appointments on February 5th. First we saw the specialist about Baby Lawson's heart and she is confident that it will close. It is there, but it is very small. She said if the other doctor was not concerned then we shouldn't be either. She said that when he is born they will listen to his heart and if they hear a murmur then they will do a ultrasound to check out the heart. He weighs 4lbs and his heart beat was 155. He is already head down. Best part of the doctor's appointment is his placenta has pulled up. It is 3CM above my cervix and the doctors said anything 2.5Cm or less is a reason for a c-section. They yes it is close, but there is no reason for me not to be able to have a natural birth. Mark and I are relieved, b/c I just not sure about a c-section. I've been through one surgery and it wasn't fun. Of course if a life and death situation arised yes I'll have a c-section

For me I have now gained 31.4 lbs. I asked the doctor is she is concerned and she said not at all. She said to continue to watch what I eat. My ankles are starting to swell. I really watch everything I eat.

I think that is it about the doctor's appointments.

6 to 8 weeks

I can not believe that in 6 to 8 weeks Baby Lawson will be here. Time has gone by quickly, but slowly. Mark and I can't wait to meet him. Mark will talk and kiss my belly and you will see Baby Lawson kick at him. Its so cute and funny. Its like Baby Lawson knows what Mark is saying. For some reason Baby Lawson likes to sit on my right side. I have to push at him to get him to move. It doesn't work because with in 10 minutes he is right back there. Mark and I really need to decide on a name for Baby Lawson, but we just can't decide. We like all 3 names we have picked out. We just can't make a decision. Here are my favorite things about being pregnant.

1. feeling the baby move
2. seeing Mark smile and talk to Baby Lawson
3. back and leg rubs
4. shopping for baby clothes
5. decorating the nursery
6. Mark reading all the parenting books
7. birthing class
8. Ultrasounds, I love seeing the baby

Super Bowl

Well who would have thought that the NY Giants would have beaten the Patroits! All I want to say is that last nights game was a very exciting game. The commericals weren't that great. Congrats to the NY Giants. :)
