Father's Day

For Father's Day Jackson and I took Mark fro Pizza, as Pizza is his favorite food!! Then we went and got ice cream. The ice cream was so yummy!!! After that we went for a drive and stop by some nurseries to check out some shrubs and flowers. It was a great time. Mark said that he had a blast hanging out with us.

Hanging with my Best Friend

Last week while Jackson and I were and Grandpa Barnes' house I took Jackson to met Braxton. Braxton is my Best Friend Kay's baby. Braxton is 8 months old and as cute as ever!! It was so cute watching Braxton and Jackson interact. It was a great time for Kay and I as well, because we have not seen each other since Christmas. We were able to catch up and just hang out. Ever time I am with her it makes me realize how much I miss seeing her. She has been such a great friend throughout the years and I know we will be friends forever. I believe she is the only other person besides Mark that accepts my corkiness ways. HA HA!!

Here are a few pictures of the boys.

Hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's House

Here is a video of Jackson at Grandma and Grandpa Barnes' house. We put Jackson in his rocker and turned on his toy. Jackson is rocking himself by pushing off of the chair that we placed his toy on. Jackson is having such a great time hanging out with his grandparents.

Update from doctors Appointment

Jackson did very well at his appointment. However his mommy cried. She did not like seeing her baby's face turn beet red and not be able to breath becasue he was crying so hard. She was sure glad when it was over. Once she picked him up he stopped crying.

Jackson now weighs 13 lbs and 5 oz and he is 22 3/4 inches long.

2 Months old

Today Jackson is 2 months old. That being said, Jackson has to get his shots today. I truly believe that children need to be vaccinated, but does it have to be so hard on the parents? isn't there another way to vaccinated them? I do not like the thought of him being hurt on purpose. I guess that's my motherly instinct kicking in.
Jackson loves to kick his legs, eat his fist, and play on his mat. Here are some pictures that I took today.

We took a video of Jackson this morning playing on this entertainment mat. I can't believe how big he is getting. Its been in the last week that Jackson has really started to play and develop a personality.

Jackson's or Boo-Boo's Toy????

The other day I came into the living room and this is what I found. In the Lawson household nothing is a waste of money. Please never feel that you are wasting your money on us as either Jackson or Boo-Boo will be able to utilize it. :) Also I have caught all the cats laying on Jackson entertainment mat swatting at the rattles. Just think if Jackson is the only child he will have to learn to share his toys with the cats HAHA.

New Scrapbook Pages

The last two days I have been able to get some scrapbook pages done. I thought I would share them with everyone. Enjoy!

8 Weeks Old

Today Jackson is 8 weeks old. He is doing really well on holding up his head. Lately while he is playing on his entertainment mat he has started pushing up his upper body. Its so neat to watch him because you can tell he is taking in his surroundings. He loves to stare at Mark and I and he likes to put his fist into his month. He is really starting to develop a personality. :)

6 Weeks Old

Jackson was 6 weeks old yesterday. He weighs 12 lbs and 4 oz. He can not fit into his 0-3 months clothes. The only 0-3 months he can wear still are some PJs and onesies. I'm working on getting Jackson on a schedule. Its hard and frustrating to get him to sleep at the same time everyday. See I need to have a schedule or I feel out of control. I figure I better start working on getting him into a routine so when I go back to work its easier on me and him in the morning. The outfit that Jackson is wearing says it is 3 months. It fits him perfectly. Don't you love his facial expressions?

Bald Eagles

When Jen and Rich came to see Jackson I took them to see the Bald Eagles. Here are a few pictures. If you can not tell I'm pretty amazed with the Bald Eagles. I could watch them all day long. Look how big the nest is. I took these pictures with my camera and they turned out pretty well. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Me and My Aunt Jen

Here are a few pictures of me and my and Jen. She came and visited me this week. It was a lot of fun! :)

A Perfect Mother's Day

Today has been a perfect day. Mark and Jackson took me to a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch. The Brunch gave all moms a $15 dollar gift certificate to a Spa and a Carnation. I ate until I could not eat anymore. My present from my boys was a Past, Present, and Future Necklace. It is very pretty and I love it. I'm wearing it in the pictures. Then Mark and Jackson took me to see a Bald Eagles nest and a Red Fox that live behind one of Kimberly-Clark's Office Buildings. Mark brought binoculars and we were able to see the baby Bald Eagle poke its head out of the nest and flap its wings. It was awesome. The Red Fox was so pretty. Then we came home and just relaxed as a family.

Mother's Day

This is my first Mother's Day and its a honor to be a mom. Being a mom is everything and more than I wanted. Being a mom is challenging, but it is so worth. I melt every time I look at Jackson. The love that you have for your child is overwhelming. I'm amazed at that feeling. People always said you do not know that feeling until you have a child. That is the truth. Jackson is the sparkle in my eye. One of my favorite things so far about being a mom is in the morning when I go into Jackson's room to get him up for the day. I go in and he is crying and as soon as I start talking to him he starts to calm down. Then when I say "Good Morning sweetheart" he gives that half grin and I just melt. I love those moments. Another favorite thing I love, is watching Jackson and daddy play. Jackson just perks when Mark talks and that melts my heart also. It seems these days that I'm a softy and I am fine with that. Having Jackson really completes my world. I'm truly bless to have Jackson and I would not change my world for anything.

5 Weeks Old

Look at Jackson!!! He is 5 weeks old. He is so darn cute! The UT apparel is for his Daddy. Jackson weighs 11 lbs 9.9 oz. The Go-Go Juice is really working. :)

1 Month, Mother's Day Present, New hair cut

Jackson is now 1 month old. I can not believe it. It seems like yesterday I had him. He is into a routine and it actually works great for me. Jackson gets up at 0130am then again at 530am. When I go back to work I'll be getting up at 0530 to feed him and get ready for work so in my mind he is only getting up once in the middle of the night.

Mark has been feeding him Jackson as we have tried out the bottle with him and it did not phase Jackson. I also fed Jackson a bottle the other day and Jackson didn't even notice. Now Mark feeds Jackson 0530 so I can get a little more sleep. I'm thinking Jackson really doesn't care how he gets his milk as long as he gets it. :)

Thursday at Mommy and Me Jackson weighed 10lbs 14.8 oz. He is growing!!!! He also made me a pot for Mother's Day. They took his hands and painted blue paint on them then placed his hands a on pot. Then the instructor drew a butterfly body in between his hands. I just love it!

On Saturday we went and got Jackson's 1 month picture. They turned out nice. Once they are uploaded to the Internet I'll send the links so you can go and look at them.

I got a new hair cut! I was so over due. I went back to a bob, but this is an updated bob as I do have a few layers. I also put some blonde highlights in my hair. I love my new hair cut and color. Not sure if you can tell from the picture below but it is a lot shorter. Don't you love Jackson's face! He was not a happier camper because I was making him do tummy time!
