The other Project...

The other thing I did while Mark was in California, was to put greenry above the kitchen cabinets. Here are a few pictures....

Kept busy whils Mark was gone...

There has been a few things I wanted to decorate in the new house. I figure since Mark was gone this was the perfect time to do it. The 1/2 bath had no decorations and I didn't know what to do with it. Mark and I always bring home seashells anytime we go to a beach. I got this ideal from HGTV. I bought some shadow box frames, sand paper, and blue rocks. I gluesd the sand paper onto the back board that comes inside the frame. Then I glues on the seashells and blue rocks to the sand paper. Since I had left over sheashells and rocks I put them in a vase on the sinks. Last I bought a basket and potpourri and placed the conch seashell (from our honeymoon) on the porpourri. I placed the basket on the back of the toilet. Mark loves it!!!

St. Patty's Day

This past weekend my brother and his girlfriend Emily came up to see Mark and I. It was such a great weekend. I was pretty shocked that Greg actually came up b/c he always saids that his max car ride is 4 hours. Combined Locks, WI is actually 4 hours away. We had such a great time. I can't believe my brother is not a kid anymore. He's so grown up and is a lot of fun to be with. He no longers gets on my nerves :) Here are a few pictures from this past weekend. We took these at the Japenese SteakHouse that we ate at. Yes, we had Japenese food on St. Patty's Day. I even got Greg and Emily to try Sushi. Greg and Emily said they were glad he tired it, but thats it. They headed home on Sunday afternoon, and I felt that it was to soon for them to go. I can't wait for the next time they come up. I love them both so much!

We made it!!

Mark and I made it to Wisconsin. We really like the area. Its not to small, but not to large either. We can comment on our new jobs b/c we are still training and have no clue whats going on. This weekend it is suppose to warm up to high forties!!! The cats are loving their new home also. They love the ledge to sit on. Thanks to my sister coming up here with us last weekend the house is pretty much unpacked. All we really have to do is put up the pictures and decorate.

SOLD!!!

As all of you are very aware Mark and I going through a relocation to Neenah, WI. Part of the relocation is we have to sell our house. We put our house on the market 01/11. On 1/18 7 days on the market and 5 showings later, our house was sold. We had two offers, one was ok we would have taken it, but the second offer rocked!

The people who bought our house offered more than we were asking, they did not want an inspection, and we did not have to help with the closing costs!!!!! The only catch was they want the house to close on Feb. 15th. We aren't leaving Knoxville, until Feb. 21st. We figure staying in a hotel for 7 days was worth the gain.

Because I have such a great freind, Amy from work she and her husband has offered for Mark and I to stay at their house for our last days here in Knoxville. :) Its great to have wondrful friends.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the relocation is going great.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Mark and I are going to be an aunt and uncle again. We found out Thursady that Mark's brother Lee and his wife Susie are going to have another child. This will be their 5th child. We are very happy for them. I hope its a girl, Mark wants another boy, but honestly we just want another healthy niece or nephew. The picture to the left is all of our nieces and nephews, however its already outdated, b/c Mark's sister youngest, Carson isn't include. This picture was taken on our wedding day Aug. 12, 2006. Lawson family gets outdated very quickly!!! Once again Congrats Lee and Susie!!!!

Moving Update

Well Mark and I both have received our offer letters and relocation package for our BIG move to Cheese Country! We are very excited about the job opportunities in Neenah, WI. We just put our house on the market and we are going house hunting January 27th through February 3rd. This whole relocation is very time consuming. Yeah we have a relocation counselor, but I'm going to need a psychologist when this is done. The minute Mark and I got off the phone with the relocation company, realtors, appraisal companies, mortgage companies have been blowing up our phones. Its kind of annoying. Our official start date is still March 1st.

Sneaky Sneaky

This past weekend Mark and I supraised my family. I was told Christmas was Dec. 30th, so Mark and I flew home and supraised my family. We flew home on Friday 12/29 and stayed in Michigan City. It was not a nice stay because the Hampton Inn shower did not work very well.
However Saturday was AWESOME!!!!!! Mark and I arrived to my sisters house at 1315. Everybody was so surpraised that we came. It was great to be with my family. I really love them even if they are a little odd. I even got to see my aunt and uncle, along with cousin and her husband. Her boys, Matthew and Christopher were there and they are just adorable! I played with Chistopher and held Matthew. Let me tell you Matthew is a little ham, but he is so cute. This was the best Christmas present!

Merry Christmas

Found this pretty Picture and I thought I would share it.

Hello

Life has been a little crazy. Try to get Christmas shopping done, work has been very busy, and we found out that we will start our new positions in Neenah, WI on March 1, 2006. We have received our relocation confirmation email, but we are still waiting on the official offer letter. I spoke to the hiring manager and she said we should see it a few days. Its just a little stressful. We are both very excited about our new positions. I'll be doing material planning and Mark will be doing scheduling finished product. One thing we have learned from talking to many people in these positions, that KC is working very hard to make all planning positions an eight hours a day job. Were currently planners are working any where from 8 to 14 hours a day. We found out that the whole planning department is going through restructure to make it possible so all planners work to 8 hours. I like that a lot. I have no problem working long hours I just can't do all the time. With Crohn's my body starts to wear down and then I'm worthless.

We have almost all of our shopping done, we just have to buy one present for a cat Annie and I have to get Mark a few stocking stuffers.

I just saw on T.V. that Denver, CO is having a blizzard. Mark said "That looks fun." I told him you better get ready for Wisconsin :) He also stated he can't wait to get a snowblower. It must be a man thing.

Not much more going on around here.

Merry Christmas

Baptist Service

On November 19th, Mark and I went to a Baptist Church and Sunday School with our friends Gina and Nick. We did like like the service a lot and were pretty supraised that service was not shoveing things down your throat. I did have a some pre-thoughts of what the Baptist Church was about. What I don't like about the the Baptist religion is that every church has its own beliefs. For instance one Baptist church will be against drinking and dancing and the next will be believe drinking and dancing are ok.

Mark and and I have decided to try the United Methodist Church again. We felt so comfortable and they were very welcoming. They also have a lot of programs we can get involved in.

Christmas Shopping

I hate to admit this but Mark and I have not started Christmas shopping. I believe we will go this weekend, but I'm not 100% sure. The whole thing about Christmas shopping is that it is always way to crazy on the weekends and I really do not like to deal with the crowds. People be come very rude and mean during the Christmas season. Which is very odd to me since this is the season for sharing and caring. I think many people have lost the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is not about the gifts, its about the birth of Jesus Christmas Our Savior. Well enough about me being upset that people are nasty during this season verus being jolly. I hope everyone has a Happy and Blessed Holiday.

Under the weather...

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile, I was under the weather all last week. When I returned from Thanksgiving with my family I was sicker than a dog. I went to work and came home and went to bed. I feel better now.

I had a great time at Thanksgiving. It was great to see my whole family. I really enjoyed seeing my aunt and cousin.

This past weekend Mark and I put up our Christmas tree and decorated the house. On Saturday night my friends Regina and Rachel came over and we made Christmas cookies. It was such a great time.
