Mama Mia!!!!

Last night I went to the Movies with my friends Katie and Amanda and saw Mama Mia!!! If you like musicals you will like Mama Mia!! I loved it!! It was an all around great happy funny movie. It won't win awards, but its a great movie to go and see with your girlfriends!!!

Mark and I want to say THANK YOU to Joan for babysitting Jackson Yesterday so we could finish up our landscaping project. We really really appreciate it!!! I could tell Jackson enjoyed hanging with Joan and Dave. Even though Mark and I worked while Joan watched Jackson we had a great time together. Just being able to focus on a conversation with each other was awesome. Once again Thanks Joan!!!

My cousin Leanne wrote on her blog about it takes a village to raise a child and that everyone should have their own village (which I agree). Joan you are in Mark and I's village.

Landscaping

Over the past few weeks Mark and I have been working on our landscape. We were going to hire someone to do it, but I really wanted to do it myself. To me it means more if I put my sweat and tears into. Yesterday we finished our landscape in front and the side of the house. We are so thrilled on how it turned out. I'm very impressed with our creativity. Mark drew out the flower beds then we went to the nursery had looked at all the beautiful shrubs, roses, and flowers. I then went to the drawing and placed the flowers where I wanted. I did ask for Mark's opinions, but he always told me to do what I thought was right. I got a few Roses, Hostas, Hydrangeas, and a Lilac bush (one of my favorites). This fall I will plant some Tulips, Daffodils, and Day Lilies. We just love it!

Family!!

This past weekend my cousins and Nana came to see Jackson. Jackson and Micheal are 3 weeks apart. Look how cute they are. We had a great time. We went to the Zoo in Green Bay. We were able to pet and feed a Giraffe. That was awesome. It was great seeing our family.

July 4th and my visit with my cousins

Over the July 4th weekend Mark's sister Sherri, Travis and Avery, and Parker came to see us. We had such a great time. We went to a festival, then watched fireworks, and we also went miniature golfing and rode go carts. It was a blast!!!!

12 weeks old

Today Jackson is 12 weeks old. I can not believe my baby is 12 weeks. He is growing so fast. I took these pictures of him yesterday. Hope you enjoy!

First Day Back to Work

Well I made it through my first day back to work. Jackson made it through his first day of day care. GO US!!! It was very hard leaving him. I cried on the way to daycare, then I cried when I was trying to tell Miss Amanda about Jackson, then I cried when I left. I was a mess. I thought about Jackson non-stop today. I wanted to be with him so bad. I am proud of myself, I only called one time today to check on Jackson.

Jackson morning teacher is Miss Amanda. She is very sweet and kind. Miss Amanda has been working at Stepping Stone Day Care for 5 years. She has been in the infant room the entire time. I really liked that. Miss Amanda said that Jackson did GREAT for his first day at school. She also said that he is a very sweet boy and that he smiled when she sang and danced with him. Jackson did snuggle with Miss Amanda. I'm jealous that she got to snuggle with him today.

And of course I had to take picture of his first day at school.

Last Day of Maternity Leave

Today is my last day of maternity leave and it really sucks. I'm an emotional reck. One minute I am crying thinking about tomorrow and the next minute I'm telling myself I can do this. I can't believe that 12 weeks have gone by. I can't believe that Jackson is 12 weeks old. He is getting so big and his personality is really starting to blossom. I make funny sounds and he starts smiling and cooing. He is also now using his legs to push up his butt off of the floor or bouncy seat. Tomorrow is going to be the worst day of my life. I don't want to miss out on anything in his life. He is only going to be little one time and it is now. I really have enjoyed my time as an at home mom. I have always been so career driven that I thought I would never say that. Being home with Jackson ROCKS!!! Even when I cry because he uses me as a pacifier and I can not even go to the bathroom without him screaming. No Jackson is not spoiled he just loves his mommy! Come on who doesn't love me HAHA!

Guess that old saying is true 'Time flies when you are having fun'

Please think of me and Mark tomorrow.

Grammy and Granddad

Mark's parents came up last week to visit us. It was such a great time. Granny and Granddad spoiled Jackson. They helped watch Jackson so we could work on our landscape. We took them to a Wisconsin Friday night fish fry. I was able to go and get my hair cut and highlighted. Also Mark and I even spent a few hours together by ourselves. We went to the mall to get me a few pairs of pants for work. It was nice hanging out with Mark without Jackson. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Father's Day

For Father's Day Jackson and I took Mark fro Pizza, as Pizza is his favorite food!! Then we went and got ice cream. The ice cream was so yummy!!! After that we went for a drive and stop by some nurseries to check out some shrubs and flowers. It was a great time. Mark said that he had a blast hanging out with us.

Hanging with my Best Friend

Last week while Jackson and I were and Grandpa Barnes' house I took Jackson to met Braxton. Braxton is my Best Friend Kay's baby. Braxton is 8 months old and as cute as ever!! It was so cute watching Braxton and Jackson interact. It was a great time for Kay and I as well, because we have not seen each other since Christmas. We were able to catch up and just hang out. Ever time I am with her it makes me realize how much I miss seeing her. She has been such a great friend throughout the years and I know we will be friends forever. I believe she is the only other person besides Mark that accepts my corkiness ways. HA HA!!
