Look Who's Crawling
Yesterday Jackson crawled a little but we didn't think much of it. Today I picked up Jackson from daycare and Miss Bert told us that Jackson was crawling all over the place. Tonight I was able to get it on video. I hope you enjoy!!

Fall Bike Ride

Weather was absolutely beautiful today so we decide to take advantage of the weather and take family bike ride. We rode around the area for 2.5 hours. We stopped at the local park and played with Jackson. We took pictures of the fall colors. We had such a great time. Jackson really enjoyed being outside. Here are some pictures of our outing!

My Mother Style
My cousin had on her blog what her mother style is so I thought I would take the quiz to see what I am. I am ESTJ -- The "How-To" Mother I the the below really describes me.
Your type is: estj —The “How-To” Mother
“We’re the mothers you like to carpool with. Not only are we on time, we organize the driving schedule for everyone.”
Organized and comfortable being in charge, the ESTJ mother knows “how to” get things done, make things happen, and accomplish much on behalf of her children. Whether she is encouraging them to get involved in organized activities or talking with them about their personal concerns, children of the ESTJ mother learn “how to” succeed in life.
Upbeat and matter-of-fact, the ESTJ mother is intent on her children having the best. She puts her skills and talents to work to this end, from planning trips that supplement their studies to raising funds for new playground equipment. She is happiest when her efforts produce concrete results — children who try out for teams, participate in academic competitions, or are leaders among their peers.
The ESTJ mother runs a tight household. She is apt to have predictable expectations, consistent routines, standard procedures, and well-defined boundaries, all of which help her children feel protected and secure.

Jackson and Sierra
6 Months Old

Jackson is 6 months old!!! I can not believe how fast time has flown. It seems like just yesterday he was born. Today he went for his 6 month check up. He weighs 17 lbs 1 oz and is 27 inches long. The doctor said Jackson is growing perfectly. Jackson showed off for Dr. Riddlehoover. He had to show her how he can roll over and how he is pushing up on his hands and knees. She told us that he is developing great. Not only did Jackson got an ataboy, mommy did to for still breastfeeding while working full time. That was what I needed to keep going.
Doctor told us to introduce Jackson to veggies and fruits. Tonight for dinner is sweet potatoes and oatmeal. I made baby food for Jackson the other day so we are already to go. I hope Jackson is just as excited as Mark and I are. I have a feeling Jackson could care less - HAHA. I will try to take a few pictures of Jackson tonight.
Here are a few pictures of Jackson. I took them this today. Jackson is so cute!!!
We survived!!
Well Jackson and I made it without Mark. Let me tell you Jackson and I were sooooo happy to see Mark last Friday night. Jackson and I only had 1 melt down when we were by our self. I think that is awesome if I do say so myself. I could tell that Jackson noticed Mark being gone. He was just different, he won't take naps at daycare, which meant long nights at home because he was so tired and fussy. :( But over all it was fine!!!
I'm glad Mark doesn't have anymore business trips planned this year. :)

On our own!
This week Mark is on a business trip for work. He flies out Sunday night and comes home Friday night. This will be the first time Jackson and I are all by ourselves. I'm very nervous about this week. It will be very long as work is also very busy still dealing with the percussion of Hurricane Ike. I know we will make it through without Mark, but I know Jackson and I is going to miss him bunches!!!!
On top of Mark leaving this week, my Crohn's Disease has decided to act up. I was up all night in pain and I got sick to my stomach twice. I'm so tired today that I can tell that I'm not starting off on the right foot for this week.
Well I think that is about it.

Grandpa came and saw me!!!
Grandpa Barnes came and saw me this weekend. It was great to see him. He played with me on the floor and I showed him how I'm now pushing up on my hands and knees. I showed him how I love my Jumproo. He also went to the park with me, mommy, and daddy. I even feel asleep on in his arms. Thanks for coming and seeing me. Love ya!!!

Headed South
Friday night we are head to Tennessee. We can't wait to go home and visit the family. Jackson is going to meet his cousins for the first time. He is also going to go to Virgina to meet his great-grandfather and great-grandmother. We are very excited to see them. Mark's parents will have all their kids and 9 grandchildren all together at once! I see a very loud and chaotic house! HA HA!
Wish us well for the 16 hour drive!!!
