Long Weekend

I posted the other day that Jackson has a double ear infection. He started to act like himself last Wednesday so we thought he was on his way to getting back to normal. Then Friday night came and he got up 4 times. Saturday he was fussy and needy. Then Saturday night he got up 5 times. I told Mark enough is enough we taking him back to the doctors. Sunday morning Mark and I packed Jackson up and went to our doctors office. Sure enough his ear infections are no better than they were on Monday. The antibiotics that Jackson was given is not working. Doctor gave us another type to try. Today he has been so clingy and fussy. We feel horrible for him, as there is nothing Mark or I can do for him. I sure hope this antibiotics work.

Look at me!!

RIP Puddy

Here are a few pictures of Puddy Cat!! I will miss her soooo much!!!! She was such a great cat. There will never be another Puddy Cat!

When it rains, it pours!

When it rains in the Lawson household it pours!!!!

It all started last weekend Jackson was just a fussy and needy baby. He would wake up about 3 times a night. Then on Sunday morning he started pulling at his right ear. I just knew what that meant, he had a ear infection. Monday morning Mark took him to the Doctors while I went to the dentist and in deed he has not one ear infection, but two!!!

Then Monday afternoon I had to take my cat puddy to the vet. She decided to stop eating over the weekend. The vet took one look at her ears and said, she is a very sick kitty as she is very jaundice. . I started crying because I knew that she would recover from it. We did blood work and confirmed her liver was failing. Doctor gave us special soft cat food to see if Puddy would eat and keep it down. It did not work. On Wednesday we had an ultrasound done on her liver to see what was going on. The vet could barely put pressure on Puddy, she would start meowing and groaning. We decide that we could not stand to see Puddy in pain, so we let her go to Kitty Heaven.

I believe that was the major events of the week!!!!

Guess who has two teeth???

When I got home last weekend from spending time with my aunt and cousin I gave Jackson a bath. I kept seeing something in his mouth and I was trying to get it out. Then I realized it was his tooth. Its the bottom tooth, then 4 days later Mark and I noticed another white spot. I put my finger in his mouth and sure enough another tooth. Jackson now has two teeth on the bottom that are sprouting through. :) Its funny to watch him because you can tell he his trying to figure out what those rough spots are.

Jackson is also starting to eat baby puff cereal and use his sippy cup. Check out the video of Jackson eating.

Swimming Clinic

Today Mark and I took Jackson to a free swimming Clinic at Swimtastic. http://www.swimtastic.com/ It's a swimming school in Menasha, WI, which is about 10 minutes from our house. Jackson just loved the pool. We had such a great time at the clinic that we have decided to attend the winter session that starts in January. We can't wait to take Jackson. Maybe he'll be the next Micheal Phelps. :)

I know this picture is blurry but Jackson is crawling on a mat in the water. He absolutely LOVED it!!!

Thankful

Sorry that I have been a little laxed on writing what I am thankful. Life has been busy at work this week. Plus I like to keep Jackson on a schedule so our lives are smooth. I have been thinking a lot about what I am thankful, just haven't had time to actually post my thoughts. Its Saturday morning and Jackson is down for his morning nap and Mark is also taking his cat nap. I decide that this would be a great opportunity to get caught up on my blog. :)

  • Visiting my cousin and her family. It was great to be able to go and see her.

  • Making cookies with my aunt and cousin and having girl talk! :)

  • That I will have a new sister soon. Something I have been waiting for, for awhile. We love Auntie Em :)

  • Mark for watching Jackson last night so I could go and have drinks with a co-worker

  • No snow yet :)

  • The presidential race is over

  • Gas is now $1.98 in Wisconsin

school. Is golf in his future???

Mark took this picture of Jackson last week. He was having such a great time in the tub. Plus he is such a cutie!!

New Blog Layout and Stuff

I just updated our blog layout. I was able to do because my cousin LeAnne found a website that has cool blog layouts. Thanks Lee!!!!

Also, My cousin has challenged me to reflect on what I am thankful and share it with everyone. SHe is doing this to ensure her family doesn't lose the true meaning of the Holiday Season. She says will be posting everyday, but I will be posting every week.

Here is what I'm thankful for this week.
  • God - To be able to practice the religion that I feel fits me and my family.
  • Mark - I know some days he see me being very ugly, but I'm truly blessed to have found such a wonderful, loving, supportive husband!!
  • Jackson - He is the answer to Mark's and I prayers. He completes our family!
  • Dad - Without out him who knows where I would have ended up in life.
  • In-laws - I have the BEST in-laws ever!! My Momma calls me her northern daughter-in-law! Its so cute!!!!

Stay tune for next week.

Love ya!!!!

Colts Game

Sunday Mark and I attended the Colts Vs. Packer game. It was a blast. We sat 11 rows behind the Colts. That was way cool! I would loved the game more if the Colts would have won.

My Mother Style

My cousin had on her blog what her mother style is so I thought I would take the quiz to see what I am. I am ESTJ -- The "How-To" Mother I the the below really describes me.

Your type is: estj —The “How-To” Mother
“We’re the mothers you like to carpool with. Not only are we on time, we organize the driving schedule for everyone.”
Organized and comfortable being in charge, the ESTJ mother knows “how to” get things done, make things happen, and accomplish much on behalf of her children. Whether she is encouraging them to get involved in organized activities or talking with them about their personal concerns, children of the ESTJ mother learn “how to” succeed in life.
Upbeat and matter-of-fact, the ESTJ mother is intent on her children having the best. She puts her skills and talents to work to this end, from planning trips that supplement their studies to raising funds for new playground equipment. She is happiest when her efforts produce concrete results — children who try out for teams, participate in academic competitions, or are leaders among their peers.
The ESTJ mother runs a tight household. She is apt to have predictable expectations, consistent routines, standard procedures, and well-defined boundaries, all of which help her children feel protected and secure.
