Keeping in touch :)

Ever since mark and I got bikes every Saturday we go for a bike ride. Last Saturday we rode 5 miles. We stopped and got ice cream and raced each other. Its a lot of fun and it is healthy for us. Tonight we had to return to movies we rented last weekend, instead of jumping in the car we rode our bikes to return them. I think its a mile each way.

We also have been attending Emanuel Methodist Church. We really like it. Wednesday night we went to dinner at the church and to an adult bible class. It was very nice and rewarding. This Sunday after service the church is having a pot luck. I'm going to make something to take, I ust not sure what to take. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Pastor Mark is great. He know us by name and he is always inviting us to participate. I want to join the choir, but I'm not the best singer.

We now have a driveway!!! The town will begin putting in the streets and curbs. We have streets, but they are half paved/gravel. Wisconsin does things a little backwards.

I think that's all for now.

Talk soon.

I was wondering if you had a church yet... Yeah! I often take Bernie's meatball recipe for potlucks! I use frozen meatballs...but I think they are just as good. Also,a veggie tray is very nice...trust me, I've done the potluck thing A LOT! Its fun, but hard not to bring the same thing all the time! We have one sunday night also! Maybe I will try my own ideas...I'm running in a 5K tonight! I can't wait!
Love you... Leanne

Hi Sissy...so good to hear you are getting settled into a church and your town. What did you decide to make for your potluck? Contrary to what Leanne says, the frozen meatballs are not as good as homemade.. LOL...but they work in a pinch...just cook together equal parts of grape jelly and chili sauce for the sauce. Actually the recipe came from Adele Kuhn, they lady who lived across the hall from Grandma in her condo. Have a great day!!

My 5K time was 27:44... an 8:55mile... not bad since I've only been running for about 6 weeks since the miscarriage!! The frozen meatballs are FINE!! hee, hee...actually, I'm not a big red meat girl anyway, so maybe that's why I don't care! Put some pics on your blog!! Love you, Leanne
